Asking someone “where are you” is arecent thing. Before we had mobile phones, the only way we could talk to peopleis if we knew where they were. Technology helps us connect and communicate. Wehave come a long way from the time of news being reported a few times a daythrough newspaper and television broadcasts.
Now, we have always-on, constantsharing of information. Our lives are becoming more connected, and it’s aphenomenon enabled and driven by technology. Technology is growingexponentially and I want to be a part of this tremendously changing world, butfor now I want to strengthen my skills by specializing in Computer Science. During my Under Graduate, I gainedexpertise in C, C++ and Object-oriented programming concepts to an extent whereI could create my own algorithms to find my way out of a problem definition,this is the part I enjoyed the most as I had to look into various facets anddelve into various perceptions to come up with an optimal solution. Besides that, I have deep knowledge onOperating Systems, Software Engineering, Networks and Database ManagementSystems. These skills have invigorated my foundation and only affirmed myaspiration to be among top programmers. In my final year at school we developedan Email system, which is a web application like regular google mail or hotmail using JAVA and MySQL. In this Email System user can view the message sentto him.
If he wants he can download the attachments and forward the samemessages to others. Security steps are taken to help users to save accountdetails from hackers and unauthorized users. This project made my skills morestrong on network programming and java programming and provided me with anopportunity to work in collaboration as a team by helping each other inresolving technical ambiguities completing the project in a timely fashion. As a part of NSS (National ServiceScheme) our team organized blood donation campaigns, campaigns to spread literacyamong unprivileged children and also awareness programs for improvement of thestatus of women. This program creates awareness among women that they toocontribute to economic and social well-being of the community and there is nooccupation which is not open to them provided they acquire the requisiteskills. After completing my Under Graduate studies, Ijoined Infosys as a Systems Engineer Trainee. To start a career with Infosyswas a great privilege to me as it offers the best training to their employees.
TheAmerican Society for Training and Development has rated Indian IT major InfosysTechnologies Ltd as the worlds best in employee training and development. I havereceived training on JAVA and Angular JS technologies for five months. Oncompleting my training with 75% , I was assigned my first project on Angular JS.From these projects I have obtained a practical understanding of complex dataand its execution for the benefit of business insights as well as tangibleresource for business decision-making. I have grown to realize that engineersand IT professionals must work hard to acquire business domain skills. Hence Ilook for a course that will provide me with a strong grounding.
In order to expand my horizons, aMaters degree from University of Arlington in Computer Science appears to be themost logical progression as it would be a perfect platform to launch my career.I hope that the Admission committee shares my enthusiasm and commitment tosurpass the expectations set forth for an incoming graduate student andaccordingly offers admission into Summer 2018 incoming class. I would also loveto contribute by being a part of the activities of the student body atuniversity of Arlington.
