The found value for the relationship between I and B is close to the real value of 4?*10-7 TmA-1. The deviation of the calculated values for the permeability of free space in the first two trials implies that there is a systematic error. However the third trial is very precise without such a systematic error.

Both the fact that the graph is linear and that the calculated value supports the hypothesis as the real value lies within the inaccuracy. Also the fact that the repeated data collection is accurate supports known theory and the hypothesis.Evaluation The evaluation seems reasonable as the results were close to the real value all implying that the lab was well designed and executed. However the magnetometer was very sensitive to external factors and made several resets of the scale were necessary before a data collection could be performed. The inaccuracy of the readings of the magnetic field made the error bars in the graph unnecessarily large. The fact that the y intercept is not zero in the first two graphs suggests a minor systematic error however the error remains unidentified. The repeated measurement and calculation of average removes the unavoidable difficulties in making accurate measurements every time.

There are not many ways this laboration can be improved, except for finding the systematic error, as it gave a clear and correct value. In this experiment, I am going to relate the mass of different balls with the velocity My variables are the mass of the balls, the velocity, gravity, height and bouncing surface. The only dependent variable is the velocity, because it is dependent on the mass of the balls. The independent variables are height, gravity, bouncing surface and mass of the balls. So to control the independent variable, I try to drop the ball from a constant height.

We have gravitation which is a constant (g=9.81ms^2). Bouncing surface is not significance and I will drop the ball on the same surface. Also the mass of the balls will be controlled by changing its mass. The relation I want to investigate with velocity and mass is relating to momentum. Since momentum of an object is defined as the product of its mass and its velocity (according to what we have learn in class) . This shows that mass and velocity is proportional with each other.

So my idea is to check this definition through this experiment. The equipments I want to use would be different kind of balls with different masses, an instrument that can measure the velocity of the bouncing ball, an apparatus that can hold and drop the ball from the same height every time, a weight and a ruler. The method to do this experiment is to drop different balls at the same height.

I need to drop the balls with different masses and than I will measure the velocity using data logger. I will use three different balls with different masses and drop it five teams to get sufficient data. Figure 1 shows the balls I used. From the left it is a ping pong ball, an elastic ball and a golf ball.

Figure 2 shows the data logger instrument I used. The one to the left is connected to the computer and the other one to the right is put on the roof pointing downwards. So the circle on that instrument is measuring the velocity.
