Microwaves are used for heating up food on a certain time limit, and a pancake is a flat cake, often thin and round. Depending on the wattage of a microwave, there will be a various amount of time to warm-up your food. Lets see what happens when three of the same from  pancakes Walmart or Food 4 Less are put in microwaves with different wattages on one minute.Wattage is power, as measured in watts. Or the amount of power required to operate an electrical appliance or device. Watts are in most electricity, and it helps it function. Microwave power is measured in watts. Usually your food will cook faster and more evenly the higher the microwave wattage. Microwaves are available from 500 to 1,000 watts. In general, a 700-watt microwave should boil a cup of room temperature water in 2 minutes and 30 seconds. A 1,000 -watt Microwave helps your food cook faster. And Microwaves with 700-watts  or less are slower and may not cook evenly. In general, the higher the wattage, the faster your food cooks inside a microwave.(Franke 2006).Check the inside of the oven’s door, on the serial number plate on the back of the oven, or in the owner’s manual or the manufacturer’s website for the wattage. Then measure 1 cup of water in a 2-cup glass measure. Next add ice cubes; stir until water is ice cold. (Ko, 2016).A megawatt is a unit for measuring power that is equivalent to one million watts.  One megawatt is equivalent to the energy produced by 10 automobile engines.A megawatt hour is equal to 1,000 Kilowatt hours. It is equal to 1,000 kilowatts of electricity used continuously for one hour.  It is about equivalent to the amount of electricity used by about 330 homes during one hour./what-is-a-megawatt-and-a-megawatt-hour (Franke, 2006).Microwaves can be dangerous if something is done that is not supposed to be done with it.  The microwave heats things in the fraction of the time, but sometimes it also makes things explode (Thomson, 2014).The second thing that shouldn’t be heat up in a microwave is Aluminum Foil, When electric fields in the microwave flow through the thin metal foil, according to HowStuffWorks, the foil quickly gets “overwhelmed” and heats up rapidly, (Franke, 2006). The crinkly edges will sputter sparks and could have a full-blown blaze on hand. Also, if food like beefaroni, sloppy joe, and pancakes are being heated up in a microwave then put a paper towel over it or something else that can go in a Microwave. Or else, the food will damage the microwave and the microwave will be filled with food, (Klein, 2017).  It is best to only use cookware that is specially manufactured for use in the microwave, (Marcason, 2015).  The microwave is one of the most frequently used pieces of cooking equipment in the kitchen. It’s the fastest and simplest way to reheat something with minimal fuss. But be careful! It only takes one incident of something to cause plenty of fear of your microwaves (Freeman, n.d).Properly equipped, microwaves that can be used for high temperature processing include the wasting of pottery’s and processing of other materials above 200 °C to a maximum of 1,800 °C. Microwaves for high temperature processing need to be carefully designed and built to wrap the electronics from the high temperatures that the sample reach within the processing cavity. There is something called compatible muffle that is needed to protect the microwave from heat from the processing. Often the microwave needs to be equipped with high temperature measurement study and cooling techniques are required,(MRA, 2012). A microwave drying system with the ability of automatic temperature and power control was developed for apple drying.Reaction temperature control with before determined variable power profiles finished in the best temperature control and product quality. All other modest demonstrated their own pros and cons. The study also found out that it was hard to keep a constant temperature during microwave drying process when a feedback temperature control was not included. The results can be used to determine microwave power levels in microwave drying practices both with and without temperature control,(Elsevier, 2010). Microwave heating has big applications in the field of food processing such as cooking, drying, liquid used by animals and protection of food materials. In this article, various applications of microwave food processing such as microwave cooking, microwave pasteurization and microwave assisted drying were greatly reviewed. The advantages and the factors affecting the microwave cooking of food materials have been checked. Microwave cleaning of fresh juices, milk and various food products has been discussed. Microwave cleaning has the ability to achieve destruction of microorganisms at temperatures lesser than that of current cleaning due to significant improvement of thermal effects,(Elsevier, 2013).
