Conjunctivitis, a fairly common disease, comes from the infection of the invisible membrane, Conjunctiva. The conjunctiva is located on the white part of the eye and the lines of the eyelid. Conjunctivitis is frequent because of the many ways you can get infected. These include Irritants such as dirt and shampoo.
Allergies can also make pink eye show up. Also, STDs for example gonorrhea or Chlamydia can produce it. There are many forms of Pink eye, it can be a virus or even a bacteria.However, not only common for human being; dogs, goats and cattle are vulnerable as well. Unlike HIV/AIDS, Conjunctivitis does not target a certain region in the world. Anyone can get it, but it is seen on children more often. Pink eye can spread quickly, since it is extremely contagious. Any contact with a person with or anything they touch or sneeze/cough can transmit Pink eye.

When Pink Eye first appears, it is only a matter of days until it heals, just like a common cold. Though, if Conjunctivitis is found on a new- born baby, it’s a sign of an imperfect tear duct.An incomplete tear duct can be dangerous to the baby. The symptoms of Pink eye can vary from what type it is.
The common, virus conjunctivitis includes symptoms such as redness of the eye, sensitivity to the light, and itchy or a burning sensations. All of these are the same for bacterial conjunctivitis, however the added factor of the green and yellow discharge from the eye. These symptoms happen due to the inflammation of the conjunctiva which contains most of the blood vessels. The blood vessels then open up, causing the redness of the eye.Conjunctivitis never impacted the course of history much, since it is much like a common cold. Scientists were able to create treatments for Bacterial and Allergic Conjunctivitis, which can be cured by a variety of medicine. Conjunctivitis that is found in new- borns’ is called Ophthalmia Neonatorum, can be fatal to a baby’s eyesight. This disease occurs when the baby goes through the birth canal of the mother and STDs start to infect the eye.
Symptoms of this disease include, watery- thick, pussy discharge and swollen eyelids.
